Elections & Voting

BAM believes that being in charge of elections is suppose to be about creating a secure and accessible voting process. It's supposed to be about increasing the number of citizens registered to vote and participating in elections. It's suppose to be about promoting a nonpartisan understanding of the candidates and issues in question. That's why BAM co-founded the non-profit KSVotes.org and that's why he's running for Secretary of State.

  • Reflecting on the JoCo Primary

    On Monday, August 13th, Brian met with Johnson County Election Commissioner Ronnie Metsker about the county’s 2018 primary election problems, especially regarding the technical issues that led to delays. The generation of the report took far longer than expected due to issues that should have been found in stress testing by ES&S and Johnson County. Since August, Ronnie Metsker and ES&S have issued a joint press release calling for more stress testing and to fix the software code responsible for the slow reporting. Read more...
